ABOUT ME
My name is Alona and I am a sculptor artist.
My inspiration comes from everyday life, expressions, situations, emotions and interactions.
I have a strong drive to research materials, experiment textures and unfold the emotions they create in me.
From raw materials such as cement through dainty materials such as Porcelain.
Clay is dominant in my work, alongside elastic materials as they come from the earth - mother nature which i'm very connected to.
It is important for me that my sculptures will create interest, curiosity and thought.
Apart from sculpting, I paint on various materials such as wood, cardboard, paper, wires and strings.
A few years ago I headed unique social projects of urban knitting in the public sphere.
These projects were exhibited at the “Bianale Street Art Festival” and also in a social gallery in
Rishon Litzon, Israel.
